In some ways, I’ve always been an aspiring blogger. At the same time, certain questions have kept coming to mind.
- Can growing your blog glorify God? (Yes, if that blog glorifies God.)
- Is it okay for Christians to also purse the benefits of blogging, such as influence, income and networking contacts? (Yes, if one receives these as gifts from God and uses them for his kingdom.)
- Is blog promotion possible without pride and self-promotion? (Yes, if the content is honestly useful, true, and beneficial to the readers.)
When I think about the potential of Internet publishing, I realize we’re living in unique times. Blogging is one obvious way to interject truth into the global conversation. That’s why I want to help you grow your blog.

Those are great questions to ask. I’ve asked them of myself before as well.
I always told myself that if my blog wasn’t worthwhile for anyone, then it would no longer be worthwhile for me.
Lord willing, I’m helping and not hindering the sanctification of others with each keystroke.

I have a question. I blog about the SBC and write things that are important to me. When I want to read other people’s , I come to this site to read what is out there.
My question, admittedly self-promoting, is this: what does one have to do to get his blogs mentioned here in the listings? I am not sure how the whole thing works. My blogs don’t even show up in the Iowa section sometimes.
Is this a general blog listing or some kind of “my favorites” section.
Just wondering, but since you said promotion is not necessarily evil, I thought I would take a crack.

Wow!

Hey, don’t hold out on us!
What’s the “Wow!” factor?
I feel like I’ve just overheard a phone conversation where a person was like “No way?!” and “Wow!” and so on. After the call I ask, “What was all that about?” and I hear, “Oh, nothing.”
Don’t tease us.
GUNNY HARTMAN’s last blog post..I can’t make it rain. I can harness the wind, but I ain’t its creator.
