I’m writing this morning to ask for your help.
I’ve been building a new website called Sunday School Wiki. The vision behind this project is simple: empower Sunday School teachers to create a world-class 100% free Bible teaching curriculum
“Wiki” refers to a any website where readers can edit pages. This is a powerful tool for collaboration over the web. Imagine bringing hundreds of passionate Bible teachers together to create free ministry resources. Sunday School Wiki allows teachers to work together like never before.
Here are 3 ways you can make a difference:
- Pray that God will bless this project and call out many volunteers
- Donate your original lesson plans, email TonyKummer@gmail.com and attach them as Word documents (please specify if you want your name attached to the lesson plans)
- Become a volunteer editor (more info on the website)
- Link the new site from your blog
Thanks in advance for your encouragement. You can find the new site here
Your Servant In Christ,

Tony, we have been thinking alot recently about SS curriculum. Bart Barber mentioned something awhile back that started me thinking.
In school, the second grade teaches the same lessons every year. Then third grade teaches third grade curriculum. Then fourth, etc. Each grade teaches the same skills and knowledge every year. Kids learn step-by-step, block-by-block.
Why not develop a SS curriculum that uses this model. In preschool, we teach these foundational principles. Then, in first grade, we teach these stories and truths, then second, then third. The lessons stay the same as the kids move through the program year by year.
Are you aware of any SS curriculum that uses this principle?

@Dave: Many independent publishers put out un-dated curriculum. It’s usually a little more cost the first year, but you don’t have to buy more every quarter.
Several of our Sunday school classes are using Children Desiring God which is a great example of this model.
