I'm getting some perspective. I might write more about it, but not yet. Most of my experiences as a Southern Baptist, being baptized, being in good little churches, going to SBTS -- all this has been very positive. So, I think there is plenty of good out there in those 40K plus little churches. It just didn't represent well in the smelly convention hall with 7K messengers and denominational employees. David,

I’m not sure exactly the nature of your disappointment but I just wanted to say, don't quit and don't give up on Southern Baptists. At every SBC there is the good, the bad, and the ugly. God often works because of Southern Baptists. But I also praise God that He works in spite of Southern Baptists. In spite of our bluster, I believe God still has great things in store for the SBC.
