I am just curious, but I’d like to know…

Please pray for us!

We at Sulphur Baptist Church, where I am the pastor, are currently going through the book of Revelation. But…

During the advent season we are pausing that series and doing the advent topical series ie, hope, peace, joy, love derived from Christmas/Advent passages. We will resume Revelation after the New Year starts.

On Wednesday, we too are doing a survey through the Bible utilizeing the book “30 Days to Understanding the Bible”.

I am pastor of our church and I have been preaching through 1 Corinthians in the morning service and Hebrews in the evening service. I took a break from 1 Corinthians to preach on the Messiah for Christmas–his anticipation, announcement, and arrival! Nice and alliterative!

I am the pastor of Morningside Baptist Church in Louisville, and I have been preaching through Matthew on Sunday mornings (currently in the Sermon on the Mount), but we have taken a break over the past few weeks to do a topical series on missions titled “Embracing Our Mission” in anticipation of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

On Wednesday nights, we have been studying each article of the Baptist Faith & Message in a study I’ve titled simply “What Baptists Believe”.

At Brushfork Baptist Church, I have been preaching through the Gospel of John on Sunday mornings (31 weeks and only through 6:59 so far). We’re going to take a break from John and have a short series through Haggai after the first of the year.

On Sunday nights I’m doing a Christmas series through Isaiah 9:1-7. In January we’ll start Philippians.

My church is preaching line by line through “The Shack.” Our pastor wanted us to have a greater and deeper biblical understanding of the Triune God. It has been edifying for me personally as I now understand the Trinity as never before.

I hope you’re kidding.

On Sunday mornings I have been preaching through Matthew – currently in the Sermon on the Mount.
Sunday nights I’m in-between: just finished James, getting ready to start a theological series on the Holy Spirit (inspired by Francis Chan’s “Forgotten God”).
Wednesday nights I do an inductive-discussion based Bible study. Right now we’re studying Genesis.
