There is a school of fish, a herd of cows, a pride of lions. When bloggers gather, it is called a bluster! Last year, our bluster on Monday evening was one of the highlights of the convention for me. We had a large group that gathered at a Cheesecake Factory in the Baltimore Harbor. What was intended to be an hour or so turned into an evening. We sat and ate and talked and laughed.
I’m not kidding when I say it was the most fun I had at the convention.
You are invited this year.
Same time – right after the afternoon session of the Pastor’s Conference ends. The place will not be the same because, frankly, Baltimore Harbor is a long drive from Columbus. I’ve not determined a place yet. However, I will be in Columbus on Saturday and will spend some time Saturday night scoping out restaurants near the convention center. I’ll pick one (with the help of my lovely wife – let’s be honest, she’ll probably pick the restaurant!). Then, on Saturday night I will post the place.

Whether you are contributor, a commenter, or a “lurker” (one of those folks who reads but never comments), we’d love to have you come and be a part of our dinner. Wives are welcome, too. If there are enough of them, we may offer them the option of taking a table by themselves where they don’t have to listen to us loudmouths! (My wife falsely says that she has trouble getting a word in edgewise when I’m around – you know that is just not fair, right?)
I’ve already had several people indicate they are planning to come. Sorry, folks, I know of no way to give Tarheel false information and send him to another restaurant, so he may show up. Thems the breaks!!
If you are definitely coming, it might be nice to have some idea. You can either let me know here or email me your intentions, so that I can get a general headcount. Last year, they ended up putting us in an area by ourselves and it was perfect.
