I’m looking forward to meeting with bloggers and blog readers tonight after the session (supposed to end at 9) at Cafe du Monde.
If you are walking, take a right out of the hall, walk past the Hilton and around the bend. Take a right at Decatur and go to the cafe. It’s about 1.2 miles, from Mapquest.
There is also a trolley you can pick up down on the river. Costs 1.25, I’m told.
I’m wearing the lime green (more embarrassing than I thought).
. If you see me, join me!!
Hope to see you there.
Oh my goodness, I saw a lime green jacket being worn by a slightly portly gentelman walking in back of Wade Burleson on camera. The gentleman was with a nicely-dressed lady who looked a lot younger.
If that was you, DAVID, don’t worry. People can spot you in that jacket from a long way off.
You did it!!! You wore the jacket!
points for the courage it to wear it so people could spot you (I’m sure they did) . . . and for the humbling effect from wearing it that you endured with apparent good grace 🙂
Yep, that was me. And my wife, who is two months older than me.
There was a lime green aura on the southeast horizon from Houston last night. Everyone was wondering what that was. In silence, all I could do was fold my arms, lean upon the pine tree and smile. Hope ya’ll had a good time.
“Portrait”
Not only in the words you say,
Not only in your deeds confessed.
But in the most unconscious way
Is Christ expressed.
Is a beatific smile?
A holy light upon your brow?
Oh no, I saw His presence when
You laughed just now.
To me twas not the truth you taught,
To you so clear to me so dim.
But when you came to me
You brought a sense of Him.
And from His light He beckons me,
And from your lips His love is shed.
Til I lose sight of you and see
The Christ instead.
Is a beatific smile?
A holy light upon your brow?
Oh no, I saw His presence when
You laughed just now.”

Father, I pray for beatific smiles for ever attendee and especially voting messenger that is present in Nawlins. That your son would be lifted up and that because he is faithfully and obediently lifted up that he will draw all men to himself as he commanded and promised.
Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice that “saved a wretch like me”. Please guide us to follow your humble, obedient footsteps when we represent you and lift you up.
Your–according to you–child and fellow heir with Jesus and in the name of the Son. So may it be.
