In what qualifies as “no big surprise” to anyone, JD Greear will be nominated in Dallas for the office of president of the Southern Baptist Convention. While no one has a right to election, JD won the hearts of many of us when he stepped aside to avoid what likely would have been a divisive third ballot at the St. Louis Annual Meeting.

Here is one man’s hope that there will be NO DRAMA in Dallas and that JD Greear will be elected by either acclamation or by an overwhelming majority as our next SBC president.
