This post will be short, but significant.
There are IMB missionaries serving in dangerous places. Their heroism and sacrifice amaze me, and strengthen my faith. They serve in obscurity. Their names may never be known, but their work is known by our Heavenly Father, and they are, as Paul wrote, “Pressing forward to take hold the goal because Christ has taken hold of them.” In every missionary commissioning service, there are blacked out faces, and some of the candidates can’t even come out on stage. I received an email full of prayer requests from one such missionary family. I cannot repost any of the requests, but would you join me in prayer this morning for this family. God knows their requests. Pray that God will bless their ministry.

Amen, brother.
Your concern for missionary security is commendable and appropriate. My wife and I were reappointed as IMB missions in 2004. Before the public appointment service the IMB staffers gathered us in the choir room of the church. The IMB president, Jerry Rankin, presented appointment certificates to a couple. He did not tell us their names, nor where they were going. Their security status was so high, the IMB did not reveal it to their fellow missionaries. Of course, this was for their protection. So, thanks for promoting prayer for missionaries and for protecting them.
