Good morning. I trust everyone is having a good week. Here are some prayer requests from our IMB Team in Japan, and some from our teams in Europe as well. There are more requests at Prayers for IMB Thank you for lifting up our missionaries in prayer.
Pray for the 2 Korean Hands-on student volunteers as they extend another 6 months and for the 2 new Korean Hands-On 6-month volunteer students who will join them and the Kobe Team this month. Pray that they will be able to reach many Japanese for Christ.
Pray for the Rokko Island house churches’ September BBQ, that it will be a good time of fellowship and outreach to lost Japanese.
Praise God for the salvations of Su-san and Yu-san, followed by baptism! Pray for spiritual growth so that they quickly become healthy disciples that glorify God. Ask for God’s help and protection as they both strive to be good witnesses at their work. Pray also for the salvation of their daughter.
Personnel in a country of Black Sea Orthodox sub-cluster request prayer for the Lord to establish the work of the churches and bring unity among them. Their team is seeking to use health and agriculture to reach the lost as they work to provide opportunities for national church leaders to partner in education and missions.
Pray that Victor and Iris*, Ukrainian missionaries, will be able to develop relationships with more people in their predominately Catholic region in Brazil where people are distrustful of outsiders. Ask the Father to give these Ukrainian descendants a desire to truly know the one true God. Pray they will turn their hearts to God and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Pray that this couple will not be shunned by the Catholic Church where they serve.
The youth discipleship group in Folkyngakyrka in Stockholm, Sweden will kick off the fall term on September 6. They will be working through the Alpha course this fall and there could be as many as 28 teens attending. Please pray that each teen would be strengthened in their faith and grow in their relationship with Christ. Also pray that any nonbelievers would make a decision to follow Christ.
Don’t forget to pray for the unreached people group of the week, the Bhania people of India. For more information on the Bhania people group and how to pray for them, go to Bhania People
