When I was a coach, I was a little bit of a stats nut.
I tend to be the same way with my blogging. We don’t publish our numbers, but they are tracked. I can’t help but look at them.
- This is the 2000th post in SBC Voices history!
- It might surprise no one that I have written the most posts – 582 to this point. Tony Kummer (our fearless leader) has published 196, Jared Moore has added 168, and Mike Leake has published 12o. No one else is above 100 posts. We’ve had posts from 29 people, in addition to 167 that are classified under our “Guest Blogger” designation.
- In the approximately 5 years that SBC Voices has existed, we have had over 2.7 million page views (1.05 million this year so far).
- We have had around 88,500 approved comments.
- We have also had 1250 (or so) petty arguments, so its kind of a mixed bag. Of course, they started it and I was only responding to what they said!
Anyway, sorry for this foray into bragging, but the 2000th post seemed like a milestone!
Congrats, guys! Keep up the good work.
Oh. I thought you said millstone.
Sometimes, managing this blog feels like a millstone, but I do appreciate the privilege.
Of course, you made sure that your post was the 2,000th. Glory hog.
I actually just noticed yesterday that we were at 1997. So, yeah, I hogged all the glory.
Hey… I’m inching towards that 100-post mark… 🙂
I think I’m around 93 or 94…
Hurry up and get there.
Dave Miller,
Millstone or not, you are doing a great job. I would not want your job, my nerves, what few I have left, would dxplode. Thank you.
120? Seriously? I’m shocked that I’ve posted something 120 times. Kind of goes to show how desperate for articles you get.
Irregardless, you’ve done a “good” job of editing, Dave. I have went to great lengths to write quality articles and comments. But whether it be one on Revelations or just something else there is always something in their for people to get they’re selves all riled up. Anyways, I’m happy to be part of the SBC Voices team. LOL 🙂
Keep writing “irregardless” and using emoticons and you might not be a happy part of the SBC Voices team.
I’m only at 67, but it puts me right where I need to be in my five-year plan for internet blogging domination.
So cute.
Well played, Mike. If SBCV had +1’s, I’d heartily +1 that.
I’ve been asked why our comment numbers do not match the number I publish. This comment is #134270. But it will be comment 88,607 (unless someone else posts sooner.
Simple reason for the discrepancy. We get a LOT of spam. They are assigned numbers but deleted.
