We have some good posts in the bullpen awaiting me to hit the magic publish button. But it is my belief that there are much better things to do this next few days than to blog. Chew on turkey, not on SBC news, opinion and perspective. We’ll be back up and publishing on Monday.
I have a long to-do list for the next couple of days.
1) I broke my turkey deep-frier thermometer and have to get one. No turkey should be prepared in any way other than by deep frying. It is a moral obligation. I’ve also got to make sure I’ve got a fresh bottle of propane (and propane accessories).
2) My third son is getting married on Saturday, so there are a couple of things left to do to get ready for that day.
3) I have turkey to eat, then turkey sandwiches, then turkey salad, then flaming turkey wings.
4) We must all join together to hope that the evil Nebraska Cornshuckers fall to the honorable, upright and wonderful Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday. There are few things that we all agree on, but it is good to know that all men (and women) of honor agree that Nebraska’s team is an evil blight on our land that needs to be smote! Hawkeyes, smitest the evil.
Because of these things, I won’t have time to blog or monitor this blog. You shouldn’t either. Seriously, if you are blogging this weekend, you may need to do some serious introspection!
Hope you’ll check back with us on Monday. I’ll tell you how the turkey tasted.
