Compassion in Jesus’ Name is Compassion International, Inc., an enormous charity based in Colorado Springs, Colorado with revenues exceeding $700 million annually. I see nothing terribly amiss with them, they are more open and transparent with financials that most, but I’d give to Baptist Global Relief or any of a number of IMB, NAMB, or state convention relief efforts. I don’t know why Southern Baptists would give an outside charity a big shot at thousands of SBC pastors.
Our Journey of Hope is a cancer care ministry extension of the private, for profit Cancer Treatment Centers of America which owns a number of cancer treatment hospitals.
Auxano is a church consulting outfit in Houston.
I don’t know what kind of bucks it takes to be one of the session sponsors or the others. Guess LifeWay is sitting this one out.
