Democratic turnout was on fire and it looks like both Republican candidates lost here in my home state. Baptist minister Warnock has a lead of over 50k votes. Jewish candidate Ossoff (dude is 33 years old) around 15k. My punditry is not so hot. I thought both Dems would lose. My post-election analysis is on target, though: Republicans blew these every which way and Trump’s feuds hurt the two candidates.
But, who knows what might happen? Easy to predict some finger pointing here.
There aren’t enough old white guys (like me) in this state. Demographics have changed. Republicans in this state are inept. The biggest target seems to be the sec of state. He did the best job of all. The governor was uninspiring. GOP leadership in the state set this up for failure. Trump hurt, didn’t help. Time to turn this page.
Maybe we should get on God’s agenda. Your church needs a better pastor. Your community needs to hear more Gospel. People around you need a personal touch. They don’t care one whit about the latest outrage du jour you read on the internet.
The republic will survive.
But hey, my wife and I got stimulii checks yesterday. Free money. The government can just print checks. No funds needed.
I’m not depressed. I may be mildly depressed if Ohio State upsets Alabama. That would signal that the universe is indeed out of order.
