I really do.
I hate the site with all my heart.
Why?
Because I always wanted to start a site like that and Adam beat me to it – there is no way I could ever approach or top its brilliance.
Best site ever – and I hate them for it.
And just when I think – that is the best ever, they get better.
What’s your favorite Babylon Bee story? I’ve got about 20, but the one I read today about Jerry Falwell Jr was brilliant. “Deny Your Conscience, Take Up Your Guns, And Follow Trump,” Urges Jerry Falwell, Jr.
And this one – I recently read Jen Hatmaker’s “clarification” of her stance on homosexuality and I thought, “Is she TRYING to confuse people?” Here’s the Bee’s take. “Jen Hatmaker Takes a Stand for Unclear Stances.”
The fact is, there are about ten “home runs” a week.
This one is pretty good….http://babylonbee.com/news/woman-searches-bible-vain-beloved-footprints-sand-passage/
Woman is looking in Ecclesiastes and proverbs to find the passage about Jesus and the footprints in the sand.
And in Luke for the Little Drummer Boy story.
I always enjoy Leadership cartoons…..BUT Babylon Bee is 100x better!
Love this site. I know, I know, it’s so out of character for me to like something like this. 🙂
Debbie,
It’s out of your character to like anything.
(satire)
My favorite was the hedge of protection getting accidentally trimmed. It was a short article but the premise was solid gold!
It’s hilarious. There’s a lot of material available. Tell you what, why don’t you start the SBC version. Call it The SBC Bee.
The mountain climber who “let go and let God,” sustaining massive injuries.
The Target store senior discount for anyone who “identifies” as sixty years old or older.
The Paul Washer “sermon” in which he just glares at the congregation for 43 straight minutes.
That Target piece is good hard truth in the form of good satire. Sad that folks can’t see the silliness of all this stuff, even if it is not a moral issue to them. You can’t just decide you’re black (as that one lady recently in the news), male or female, or 60 years old when you’re really 30.
Survey reveals Evangelicals’ favorite Puritan is Paul Bunyan.
This week the one on the King of Saudi Arabia laughing at Apple lecturing NC and the one on God’s direction for continued shrinkage of the PC(USA) in the next decade were funny.
It is a must read. I liked the one a out secret church not being a secret
The ones about music leaders and music are typically spot on and awesome.
Its hard to pick just one – but if I did I might have to go with this one.
http://babylonbee.com/news/jaws-life-needed-get-worship-leaders-skinny-jeans-off/
I also liked the ones about the CCLI police coming in because the praise team had not sung a Hillsong United song in a specified amount of time, and also the one about the worship leader getting hung up on the chorus.
The one about Osteen having to get a butchers liscence was good too…
They are all great. I love that site. I go there daily.
http://babylonbee.com/news/southern-baptists-announce-plan-to-silently-judge-trump-supporters/
I don’t plan to be silent
Me either.
Me either.
Wait… Is the Bee breaking down barriers in the blogosphere, bringing diverse people together??? 🙂
Recent perfecting the side hug post.
It’s a hoot for sure.
Wait a minute. I thought this was a satire site. How did this get on there?
“Psychopathic Megalomaniac Somehow Garnering Evangelical Vote”
Well, I think that’s what makes it funny.
Satire has to balance truth and humor, without becoming too mean.

I share posts from the Bee on Facebook several times a week. I also wish I had thought of it.
The one about the pastor spending time with his kids in a desperate attempt to get a sermon illustration was good. Also the one about thrift stores and landfills no longer accepting rapture fiction books.
And I almost forgot my absolute favorite: the one about John MacArthur building a wall around his church to keep the Charismatics out that the Pentecostals would pay for.
Yeah
“the one about John MacArthur building a wall around his church to keep the Charismatics out that the Pentecostals would pay for”
I thought that one genius.
I also thought the one about Johnny Mac was very, very funny. I literally laughed out loud.
I laughed out loud at the ‘silent church’. And I support David Platt, but that was hilarious.
Yeah – that one was funny too.
One of my favorites is “Pastor Longs For Good Old Days When America Pretended To Be A Christian Nation.”
I love the Babylon bee. It’s great, hilarious, timely and actually has a point. I also think sites like the bee really show you who doesn’t have a sense of humor and a radar for sarcasm. Two of the first articles talked about the (1) fog machine breaking, so the Holy Spirit couldn’t “work” and (2) Joel Osteen being able to fly. Some of my Pentecostal friends on Facebook, who take everything online way too seriously, shared the articles and preached sermons on the dangers of modernism. I couldn’t help but comment that these were infact fake, humorous articles that… Read more »
Church Disappointed To Discover Man Speaking In Tongues Is Actually Just Exchange Student
http://babylonbee.com/news/church-disappointed-discover-man-speaking-tongues-exchange-student/
“A few weeks ago, a prophetic “word of knowledge” for the congregation was discovered to be a man on his phone in the lobby. Just prior to that, an apparent “glory cloud” turned out to be a serious issue with the HVAC system.“
Hahahaha – Brent I’d somehow missed that one!
Here is some real news for all of you to ponder during the wait til September.
The SEC had more players drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft than any other conference (51). Why?
Because the SEC is the superior FOOTBALL Conference in all the FOOTBALL Universe, That’s why.
Ohio State from the Big 10 was the star of the day.
You must have been wearing one of those oxygen mask bongs when you typed Big 10 in response to a comment about the SEC.
Dave Miller,
Can you share with me the name of the coach who has had the most 1st round draft picks since 2008?
St. Nick Satan…surely there’s a satire post in there which mixes up the Santa controversy with the football idolatry…
I like this one too.
http://babylonbee.com/news/jesus-gets-acceptance-letter-yale-students-heart/
The BabylonBee said what I’ve said many times before….lol.
http://babylonbee.com/news/estimate-worlds-gospel-centered-book-title-reserves-depleted-2053/
Darn you Dave Miller. I went to their home page, read the satire about VeggieTales and Shamgar, researched Shamgar and found out the term oxgoad is a hapax legomenon.
I don’t come to your site to learn things.
Postmillennialism Drops Out of Eschatological Race
HA!!
That’s brilliant.
