Invitation: Zoom call with Ed Litton this afternoon (with Chris Phillips)

April 22, 2021 by Brent Hobbs

If you’re a pastor, church planter, or leader, as well as anyone attending the SBC Annual Meeting in Nashville, I’d like to invite you to join a Zoom call TODAY, April 22nd, at 1pm MST / 2pm CST to hear from Ed Litton about pastoring, leading in crisis, and his vision for leading as potential SBC President as Fred Luter is nominating him this June.

Ed is pastor at Redemption Church in Mobile, AL, where he has pastored since 1994. He’s a SWBTS graduate, has served in college and career ministry in TX, and has a vast array of experience throughout church ministry and the SBC, including church planting. Ed is a former church planter in the Western US (Tucson, AZ), and is considered by many to be a pastor of pastors. Leading from times of crisis in his own life through tragedy that struck his family, to being a leading voice in his city with racial reconciliation, to leading through COVID, Ed has a multitude of experience many can learn from. Don’t tell Ed, but he’s also married now to one of the premier women leaders in the SBC in Kathy Litton.

If you’d like to participate, you can register for the Zoom call here. The call is open to everyone and will have a time of encouragement from Ed, as well as some dialogue and questions around the SBC of today and moving forward. This will be a great opportunity to hear from a pastor of pastors, to be encouraged, and to get to know Ed in an informal setting.

Chris Phillips
Lead Pastor, Journey Point Church
