The leadership here at Voices has asked if I would regularly post two or three prayer requests from our IMB missionaries. Prayers for IMB is not sponsored by the International Mission Board. The explanation of this ministry can be found in this post.
Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I’ll include two or three paragraphs of prayer requests from our missionaries, and will link back to Prayers for IMB where I list daily prayer requests that are not on the Twitter feed @PrayerforImb of the Facebook group with the same name.
Nyungwe of Mozambique–After heavy rains in both Malawi and northern Tete Province, Mozambique, torrents of floodwater washed from upriver into Tete City during the middle of the night on March 8. Where the smaller Rovubue River met up with the larger and already swollen Zambezi River, there was nowhere for the water to go. A huge area flooded, causing massive destruction to more than 1,300 households and the Rovubue River bridge. Many were caught completely off guard as they were sleeping, and the water rushed in quickly, killing more than 60 people. Baptist Global Response and local believers were able to help with sanitation needs in the temporary camp immediately after the flood. Please pray that local churches will continue to minister to the victims of these floods. Pray that the hope and love of Jesus will be shared in the resettlement area where some who lost their homes will be relocated.
Churches in Central Taiwan–Please pray for the 30 Baptist churches in Central Taiwan. Pray that they will concentrate on the most important tasks.
Ukraine–The war in the Ukraine has entered its sixth year, please pray for churches and groups who minister in the war zone.
As you might expect, there are many more prayer requests. I try not to double up, so for more requests got to Prayer for IMB or follow the Twitter feed @prayerforImb or the Facebook group. Thanks for praying.
