Here’s a Friday preview of Prayers for IMB Thanks for praying.
India–Please pray for the Urdu-speaking Muslims of Uttar Pradesh. The primary desire of the 45 million Muslims in Uttar Pradesh is to build a good life for themselves and their family. Pray that the believers in Uttar Pradesh will reach out to their Muslim neighbors and tell them about Jesus, the only sacrifice through whom one can be made right with God. Pray that Muslims will read one of the four Gospels or watch the “JESUS” film, which are available in the Urdu language.
Yemen–“Have you heard the story of how God created the first man and woman?” Yasmen* asks her sister Ibtisam.* “No,” replies Ibtisam. “Can you tell me?” “Come with me tomorrow to my friend Fatima’s* house, and you can hear it and other stories like it! Invite your friends to come with you as well. We will drink tea together and listen to stories about God and how he loves and cares for women,” Yasmen responds. Yasmen, Ibtisam, and Fatima are all Tihama Yemeni Arab women who have the opportunity to gather together and listen to stories about God and his love for them. Pray 1 John 4:9-12 (ESV) over these women and their families, asking that they’ll know and understand: “In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.” Pray that as these verses become real in their lives, they will share them with all of those with whom they come in contact. Ask that this group of three women will expand into an active and healthy church.
Amazon– The Tribal Training Team covets your ongoing intercession for Wilson* and the others who are in the village of “Zion” with the goal of reaching the Iropi* with the gospel. Pray for health, safety, and meaningful contact with the Iropi people.
These represent only three of the requests. There are many more over at Prayers for IMB
