Alan Cross was an SBC pastor in Montgomery, AL for 16 years and now serves as a Missional Strategist for the Montgomery Baptist Association. He works with other groups and churches on racial reconciliation and to help encourage ministry to and advocacy immigrants/refugees. He is the author of When Heaven and Earth Collide: Racism, Southern Evangelicals, and the Better Way of Jesus (NewSouth Books, 2014) and Joy Persevering: The Ray and Ruth Bozeman Story of Living in the Better Way of Jesus. He is a graduate of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (now Gateway) with an M.Div. with an emphasis on Intercultural Studies, and Mississippi State University. Married with 4 children, he is now a member of First Baptist, Montgomery where he serves in International Ministry and on the Missions Team. Twitter
