If something big happens this week, like the Second Coming, I’ll let one of the other guys handle that.
So, here are the top ten articles. We keep score here…on everything.
Russell Moore Letter to SBC President on the Current Crisis in the SBC [Full Text], Brent Hobbs, June 5th.
Copy and paste job of Moore’s letter to J. D. Greer, a pre-election surprise.
J. D. Greear’s powerful message to the SBC Executive Committee, Brent Hobbs. February 23rd.
This was an address by Greear back in February. The article linked the video of Greear. SBCers wanted, I presume, to see him and listen to what he said.
Observations from a Task Force Member, Liz Evan, Attorney and SBC Sex Abuse Task Force Member, September 22.
A guest article in the heat of the SATF/EC controversy. I did not agree with her point, though many did.
Plagiarism/schmagiarism, how about the whole religious/church industrial complex? William Thornton, July 9th.
In which your humble hacker and plodder retired pastor noted considerable nonsense and hypocrisy in sermons, sermon selling, sermon copying and the like. I support Ed Litton to this day. He’s doing a great job. Don’t vote for him next year if he runs and you don’t like him.
Why I am voting for Ed Litton to serve as the President of the SBC, Jay Adkins, March 13th.
Our official Voices drummer hits some licks for Litton.
SBC Whistleblower Report: Southern Baptist leaders on sexual abuse in their own words, Brent Hobbs. June 10th.
Another pre-election surprise, copy and paste by Brent on Voices.
It’s Time to Stone Achan: An Open Letter to Ronnie Floyd, Dave Miller, September 22nd.
In the thick of the waiver controversy at the Executive Committee.
The complicated feelings of being both pro-life & pro-Kamala as VP, guest article by Emily Snook, January 22nd.
We don’t often have articles by women here. This one was powerful even if you didn’t agree. A variety of viewpoints find this site.
What Messengers Should Know About the Conservative Baptist Network’s Plans for #SBC21, SBC Voices Editorial Team, June 14th.
Very seldom is anything published here that isn’t signed by one or the other of us. This pre-convention opinion piece was generally agreed upon by all of the Voices team.
Letter from Southern Baptists to the SBC Executive Committee, September 29th.
I don’t know who wrote this letter to the EC but it is signed by a couple hundred people including all of the Voices people but me. I had reservations about the whole thing, still do, and wrote about my concerns several times starting in July.

Obviously, people come to this site to read about convention politics. I have the forlorn wish that there would be a time when there would not be enough SBC politics to cause this. It’s in our DNA. I don’t see any change coming.
