Calvinism Thursday

February 20, 2014 by Dave Miller

It is no secret that I am sick of Calvinism discussions. But there are quite a few commenters and some of our contributors who feel that discussions of Calvinism – both pro and con – are important. Just because I do not share their enthusiasm for these discussions does not mean that SBC Voices will not post them.

My motto for this site is “All the Angles on the SBC.” The purpose of this site is not just to promote my views, but to be a place where ideas can be shared and even opposing viewpoints can be discussed.

So, today is all about Calvinism. We are posting a series of posts on the topic. If you’ve got one to share, send it to me (davemillerisajerk@hotmail.com). Today is the day – it’s CALVINISM THURSDAY!

One of the problems with Calvinism posts is that the discussions seem to drag on and get more and more petty as time goes on. So, I am planning to shut down comments on all of these posts sometime around midnight tonight. That way we can move on to other topics tomorrow. If discussions get out of hand, they will be shut down immediately.

One more thing: I publish a wide range of articles here. People assume that if I publish it, I must agree with it. That is simply not the case. We publish posts that I do not agree with frequently. That’s what this blog is all about. The authors of these posts are responsible for their content and the commenters are responsible for the content of their comments.
