I won’t be at the keyboard much this weekend. I have to head to Des Moines for a BCI executive board meeting tomorrow, then I am flying to DFW to speak at Cornerstone Baptist in Arlington on Sunday. Sunday afternoon I’m going to be touring several airports for my return trip.
And I am not sure I’ll have time to do much posting during that time. I don’t plan to try. Contributors, if you have something to post, have at it. Hopefully, it won’t be about Calvinism!
I’m nervous about leaving the site, because some of our discussions have started getting a little chippy.
People wonder why we post so often here. There is one main reason. I have observed that the longer a discussion goes on, the more likely it is that less helpful, more strident voices will take over. Blogging law 227:
After 50 comments on one stream, the chances of the discussion becoming an unproductive discussion of Calvinism increase exponentially.
But, I don’t have time to worry about that. Hope to check in from time to time and delete a few comments!
Blogging Law 227 is a corollary of Godwin’s Law, isn’t it?
Yep.
Dave:
Are you flying on United? If so e-mail me. I have some first class upgrades that I need to use or lose. Consider it reward for the work you do here.
American Airlines. Dude, I flew 1st Class once. That is the only way to fly!
I figured it was American since you were going to DFW. Last year I “lost” 6 first class upgrades…couldn’t use them.
I fly a lot so I get the automatic upgrades so I don’t use the “gift” upgrades.
Consider the offer as good…if you ever fly United, let me know. If I have an upgrade available, it is yours.
