On February 10, Dr. Morris Chapman addressed the state executive directors in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and made some comments that were critical of the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force interim report. First, both of these men have been favorites of mine for a long time. I am in agreement with Dr. Rankin’s passion for world missions and his desire to see the SBC participate in the bigger world of world evangelization. I got into … [Read more...] about Dr. Chapman, Dr. Rankin: Clash of the Titans

For the next several hours it … [Read more...] about Celebration from Chaos- Day 1 of the SBC Annual Meeting

Who will be the next president of the SBC?
Nathan Finn shared his thoughts: Johnny Hunt or Frank Cox. Avery Willis could theoretically pull it off, especially if there’s a run-off, but I don’t think he will. Les Puryear will garner more support than some seem to think, but I don’t think it will be enough to win. Bill Wagner and Wiley Drake stand no chance, but both of them will get some votes just because some people like to vote for underdogs. … [Read more...] about Who will be the next president of the SBC?
